Hourly Rate: $37.98 (equivalent to $78,998.40 annually)

Location: Bonita, CA


Purpose of Role:

As a Data Analyst - CC4, you will enhance the case management information system functions for CareControl, CareCloud, CareWait, and CareConnect by implementing data analyses, maintaining appropriate system configurations, and optimizing operational efficiency and quality. The Data Analyst - CC4 will also identifies and resolves system issues, updates forms, documents and configurations in all system products and collaborates across units to meet department goals.


Summary of Responsibilities:

  1. Compares data across CareControl and related databases by merging reports to identify discrepancies and error trends; uses pivot tables and dashboards for data organization and progress tracking. Notifies supervisor or relevant department of inaccuracies and supports projects by cleaning and transforming various data types.
  2. Maintains and updates program electronic forms in CareControl and related databases per policy and procedure requirements; ensures form accuracy through software upgrades and coordinates troubleshooting with appropriate agency as needed.
  3. Identifies and implements efficiencies within CareControl and related databases by exploring built-in features, such as automated workflows, reporting tools, and configuration options, to streamline processes and reduce reliance on internal workarounds.
  4. Creates, maintains, analyzes and applies tracking systems to provide analytical results for different types of projects for effective management of CareControl and related databases.
  5. Produces data that is clear and easy to understand and presents it in a professional manner.
  6. Communicates effectively with key staff in all departments in order to obtain information necessary to complete reports and special projects required by management.
  7. Creates and maintains innovative tracking systems as required.
  8. Creates and maintains dashboards, graphs, charts and other graphic elements for presentations to management as required.
  9. Collaborates with other Data System Analyst within the department on special projects and serves as backup to that Data System Analyst as needed.
  10. Serves a resource to team members, responding to questions and providing guidance.
  11. May assist Senior Data Research Analyst with database functions.
  12. Provides pertinent information to other departments as requested.
  13. May be responsible for leading, coordinating, and providing training on special projects.
  14. Achieve goals through coordination of ideas and resources.
  15. Create a positive environment to build cooperation, mutual respect and team unity.
  16. Demonstrate flexibility and agility to accomplish CDA’s mission.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Participates in on-site and off-site learning opportunities such as workshops, conferences, staff meetings and trainings.
  2. Additional duties as assigned.
  3. May be responsible for leading, coordinating and training of special projects
  4. May serve as back up for the collection and entering of school calendar/bell schedule in the program database

Minimum Qualifications:

Education, training and/or experience that demonstrates possession of the knowledge, skills and abilities listed above. Associates and/or Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information systems management, mathematics, data analytics, business management (or substitute experience) preferred. 


Two to three years of Excel experience that includes creating and maintaining spreadsheets, creating graphs and charts, and using pivot tables. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Microsoft 365 Suite preferably (including Word, Excel, Power Automate, Access, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat) intermediate or advanced knowledge preferred. Experience and/or training or any combination of education and experience demonstrating knowledge, skills and abilities defined.


Knowledge of programming languages for desktop and web development such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, VBA and SQL preferred. Must have advanced program and funding contract knowledge sufficient to analyze, interpret, critique and/or qualify as a resource to other analysts. Must have ability to prepare comprehensive reports and recommendations; to check and compare records of data for accuracy; to refer to schedules and charts, and to research, compile, analyze and disseminate data and information.


Must have ability to prioritize workload to ensure deadlines are met, and initiate prompt and professional responses to coworkers and other individuals with minimum supervision. Ability to calculate mathematical equations and formulas accurately; ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, rules and regulations, and procedure manuals; ability to maintain composure, work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines.


Must have ability to maintain confidentiality and follow privacy laws, rules and regulations, and procedures in regards to record keeping, using appropriate judgement in answering questions, releasing information considering the consequences of disclosure; adapt to new situations, policies or procedures, demonstrating flexibility in the workplace promoting a positive atmosphere; communicate and treat all individuals with dignity and respect, responding in a cooperative, solution-oriented manner; understand and respect diversity in the workplace/community, showing consideration by communicating tactfully and sensitively at all times.


Must have ability to maintain professional relationships with all avoiding conflicts of interest, and reporting when a relationship is established in order to take appropriate steps for removing what could become a conflict of interest; handle crisis situations calmly and work with individuals of varying educational, social-economic backgrounds; define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions informing the supervisor or appropriate others of problems.


Must be able to operate office equipment such as personal computers, copy machines, fax machines, telephones, calculators and scanners on a daily basis to review, update, track, and research data, information and/or produce reports.Must have Knowledge of CDA’s goals and objectives, vision, mission, and values; and California Department of Education Child Care Division rules and regulations.


Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday- Friday 8:30am-5:00pm. However, may require evening and weekend hours based on the needs of the program.
