COMPENSATION

$11,845.00 - $14,677.50 monthly

*Hiring Salary Range: $11,845.00 - $13,261.25 monthly

(starting salary will be within this range based upon qualifications)

Plus a generous benefits package to include medical, dental, vision and 10% employer paid 401A through VOYA Financial.

SUMMARY

The Director of Information Technology will lead strategic and operational efforts to manage and enhance airport-wide IT systems at Ontario International Airport (ONT). Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Director will oversee infrastructure, cybersecurity, applications, and technical support teams. This role drives the delivery of reliable, secure, and innovative technology services aligned with ONT’s goals for operational excellence, digital transformation, and passenger experience.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement ONT’s multi-year IT roadmap aligned with business objectives and regulatory compliance.

  • Lead IT operations including network infrastructure, applications, service desk, cloud systems, and cybersecurity.

  • Manage IT projects, budgets, and procurement in coordination with internal stakeholders and vendors.

  • Ensure compliance with TSA cybersecurity directives and industry standards (e.g., NIST, ITIL).

  • Foster IT staff development and lead a team of managers, engineers, and technicians.

  • Engage with airport tenants, airlines, and agencies to align technology initiatives and support service delivery.

  • Represent ONT in aviation and technology industry forums and regulatory working groups.

  • Support enterprise risk management, business continuity, and digital transformation initiatives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Any combination of education, training, and experience that would likely provide the knowledge, skills, and

abilities to successfully perform in the position.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

  • 10+ years of progressively responsible IT management experience, preferably in a transportation, government, or critical infrastructure setting.

  • Strong knowledge of IT service management, airport technology systems, and cybersecurity frameworks.

  • Experience with enterprise IT governance, budgeting, project management, and vendor negotiations.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Airport or aviation IT experience.

  • Certifications such as PMP, CISSP, ITIL, or CCNP.

  • Familiarity with systems like Genetec, Workday, ArcGIS, Amadeus Common Use, or airport operations databases.

LICENSES / CERTIFICATION

  • Valid Driver’s License equivalent to a California Class C driver’s license

  • Acceptable driving record at time of appointment and throughout employment

  • Ability to pass all background / reference checks, knowledge examinations, as well as aptitude tests necessary to obtain an OIAA employee badge at ONT

  • Finger dexterity to utilize a keyboard to input information on a computer

  • Ability to lift and carry files and other media weighing up to twenty-five (25) pounds up to a distance of approximately 20 feet

This is a non-exempt and an at-will position. Only a valid and properly executed employment agreement may alter status as an at-will employee. Verbal contracts are not valid. The employment relationship may be terminated at the will of either party upon notice to the other. As an at-will employee, there would not be an established property interest in continued employment with OIAA.

  • Candidates who successfully complete all phases of the selection process will be placed on an eligibility list. Current and future vacancies will be filled from this list. Lists typically last for 6 months but may be extended or abolished based upon the needs of the Ontario International Airport Authority (OIAA).
