This position is responsible for leading PVE’s VTI group in the area of thermodynamics including, but not limited to vehicle cooling systems with current and future technology vehicles.Posting Information

Position offers an annual salary of $127,926.00

What You Drive at DTNA
- Lead PVE’s VTI group in the area of thermodynamics including, but not limited to vehicle cooling systems with current and future technology vehicles. Direct our our semi-annual Summer and Winter Tests each year. Lead role rotated within VTI. Support Cold Chamber and Climatic Wind Tunnel activities. Uphold a team focus with willingness to help and support the VTI group beyond areas of direct responsibility. Develop and plan test activities with close collaboration with Design Engineering and Powertrain colleagues. Analyze test results and undertake root cause analysis of shortcomings requiring corrective action, propose changes to improve component design and/or vehicle system performance. Provide timely written and verbal status reports to management as well as internal and external customers. Promote and facilitate a culture of learning and continuous improvement with staff, customers and suppliers. Actively engage customers and suppliers including: Detroit, Global Powertrain, Design Engineering, Engineering Platform Management, and all PVE functions. Lead team or department project or work streams.
Knowledge You Should Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 7 years of experience in Automotive testing.
- Must have experience with: Managing test plans; Engineering processes and downstream impact; Thermodynamics Systems; and Engine cooling systems.
- Domestic and international travel is required, as needed, up to 25%.
