About the Department
Position Duties
2. Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the subject;
3. Communicates with students the goals, objectives, and expectations of the course;
4. Assigns learning activities which promote understanding of the course content;
5. Keeps accurate records of attendance and grades and submits all reports and other requested information promptly and accurately;
6. Maintains discipline in the classroom;
7. Attends faculty meetings and other required meetings as prescribed;
8. Meets all classes promptly and regularly and begins and ends class on time;
9. Participates actively in professional development opportunities in the discipline;
10. Maintains required office and class hours;
11. Serves as sponsor and advisor for student clubs and organizations as appropriate;
12. Advises students with class schedules;
13. Serves on college councils and committees as assigned;
14. Effectively communicates with, cooperates with and supports other college personnel in daily activities
Minimum Qualifications
1. Supports the College mission implicitly and explicitly in the daily execution of all duties and responsibilities;
2. Actively participates in maintaining an effective and continuous recruiting program;
3. Participates in Institutional Effectiveness activities;
4. Represents the College in a professional manner as evidenced by dress, demeanor and the discharge of daily responsibilities;
5. Fulfills other duties as assigned by the President and/or supervisor.
