Duties and Responsibilities:

The Lead Hand Production Worker supports management in facilitating employee needs as they pursue quality, on-time product, in a safe and efficient manner as well as promoting a customer-centric culture amongst fellow personnel. The Flat Lay department is responsible for shaping cores, applying molding, attaching backsplash and mounting sinks to custom flat lay countertops.

Qualifications:

• 3 - 5 years production experience in a supervisory capacity ideally within similar industry
• Basic computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office products and ability to learn other software programs
• Ability to solve problems as they arise
• Effective communication skills
• Strong planning and organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to handle challenging situations
• Ability to coach, train and develop employees
• Capable of operating specialized tools and machinery

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supports each area’s supervisor and production staff, to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of systems, policies and procedures to serve the needs of the customer.
• Reviews production schedule and work orders to help establish priorities for specific customer orders, established sequence, and availability or capability of workers.
• Cover for various positions during absences and cross train others to empower them to follow suit. 
• Works with the Production Manager to ensure the availability of materials needed to meet production requirements
• As required, conducts departmental meetings, safety inspections, and audits
• Leads by example and acts as an advocate for safe work practices and the importance of PPE.
• Liaises with other departments as needed
• Other duties as assigned
