We’re searching for a Business Development Manager to join our rapidly growing Commercial Team. As the Business Development Manager for Europe, you will be responsible for driving new business within the territory, growing relationships with existing partners, and increasing market awareness of Asimov. This is a senior individual contributor role, with a focus on leadership, autonomy, and strategic ownership. The success of this role will be defined not only by individual performance, but also through the ability to collaborate across teams and drive toward collective goals.
We are seeking a proactive, results-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and who is capable of making an immediate impact on Asimov’s commercial growth and strategy.
About the Role:
Drive revenue growth: Develop and execute territory expansion strategies to source and secure new opportunities, drive revenue, increase market presence, and position Asimov within the broader biopharma ecosystem—whilst collaborating with colleagues across the Commercial Team.
Customer relationship development: Build and nurture relationships with clients (ranging from virtual organisations to large drug developers), focusing on customer centricity.
Communicate Asimov’s platform technologies: Effectively convey the technical and commercial benefits of our offerings to potential clients.
Own the commercial deal process: Shape partnership strategy and collaborate with the broader Commercial Team to develop deal structures that maximise value for all parties involved, driving alignment on terms, proposals, and agreements to achieve territory and organizational goals.
Engage with industry: Represent Asimov externally at key conferences, meetings, and industry events to raise visibility, build relationships, and strengthen our reputation within the field.
Contribute to our culture: Further enable our collaborative and open culture by sharing insights, maintaining transparency and supporting peers.
About You:
Professional experience: 4+ years of commercial experience within biotechnology, CDMO/CRO services, or life sciences tools organisations. Complemented by 8 years of overall experience in the biotechnology, bioproduction or life sciences industries.
Deal development: Track record of selling bespoke technical services, especially where strategy and creativity were key to customer engagement. Ability to navigate complex sales cycles, balancing client priorities with internal capabilities and capacity.
Industry knowledge: A deep understanding of the biotherapeutics manufacturing landscape.
Networking skills: Ability to rapidly build rapport and effectively communicate the benefits of partnering with Asimov. Established and expanding network within the biopharma services and tools market.
Customer relationship expertise: Demonstrated history of growing long-term relationships with clients.
Technical acumen: In-depth knowledge of cell line development, Deep understanding of CMC, process development, and manufacturing of biologics and/or viral vectors.
Educational background: A scientific or technical background in life sciences (e.g., bioengineering, molecular biology, bioproduction); advanced degrees (MBA, MS, PhD) are welcome but not required.
