Supervises daily staff activities for assigned areas and/or functions with Patient Access.

Job Description:

The Opportunity:
MaineGeneral Health is seeking a Supervisor of Patient Access to join our team in Augusta. In this role, you’ll provide direct oversight of daily operations and staffing for our Patient Access team, ensuring high-quality service and smooth workflows throughout the department.

What You’ll Do:

• Supervise and coordinate daily staff assignments and coverage needs

• Provide onboarding, training, coaching, and ongoing support to team members

• Assist with performance evaluations and corrective action as needed

• Monitor quality of service and support professional development for staff

• Ensure compliance with all organizational policies and procedures

• Help resolve complex issues, questions, or escalated patient concerns

• Step in as needed to provide hands-on support during peak times

Who You Are:

• A natural leader with strong communication and organizational skills

• Comfortable navigating fast-paced healthcare settings

• Experienced in mentoring teams and resolving issues constructively

• Familiar with Patient Access or revenue cycle processes (preferred but not required)

Qualifications:

• No certification or license required for this role

• Prior supervisory or team lead experience strongly preferred
