JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The Department of Geosciences is seeking applicants for part-time job of research assistant, carbonate sediment geochemistry.

Job duties to include:

  • Sample preparation of carbonate sediment core samples (e.g., weighing, digesting, dilution)

  • Geochemical analyses of carbonate sediment core samples
  • Using and preparing chemical reagents
  • Completing routine lab-specific tasks as needed on a day-to-day basis

Requirements, qualifications, and/or competencies:

  • coursework in geochemistry
  • basic geochemistry and sample preparation lab experience 

Compensation:

The starting rate for this job is $15/Hour
