Hybrid IT Services Workplace Specialist en Teladoc

We are looking for a highly skilled IT workplace specialist with a strong focus on cost optimization to join our team. In this role, you will provide VIP technical support to executives and key stakeholders, ensuring a seamless IT experience while also leading initiatives to reduce costs and improve efficiency in workplace IT operations.

You will be responsible for budget management, vendor coordination, procurement processes, IT asset lifecycle optimization, and inventory control. Your role will be critical in identifying cost-saving opportunities, negotiating better vendor agreements, and streamlining IT workplace infrastructure, ensuring that all workplace IT services align with business objectives and financial sustainability.

Role and responsibilities

• VIP IT support and user experience:

-Provide high-quality IT support to executives and senior management, ensuring quick and efficient issue resolution.

-Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.

-Support IT projects related to workplace technology improvements and new system implementations.

• Cost control, budgeting, and financial efficiency:

-Own and manage the IT workplace budget, ensuring strict cost control and alignment with company financial objectives.

-Identify opportunities for cost reduction in IT workplace services, such as eliminating redundant tools, optimizing support contracts, and consolidating software licenses.

-Work closely with finance teams to track expenses, forecast spending, and ensure budget adherence.

-Provide regular financial reporting and cost analysis to help drive informed decision-making.

• Procurement and vendor management:

-Act as the primary contact for IT-related procurement, managing purchase requests and order tracking.

-Lead vendor selection, contract negotiation, and SLA management, ensuring cost-effective agreements without compromising service quality.

-Develop strategic partnerships with vendors to leverage economies of scale and secure better pricing.

• IT asset management and lifecycle optimization:

-Maintain an accurate and optimized inventory of IT equipment, software licenses, and peripherals to prevent unnecessary purchases.

-Implement cost-effective IT asset lifecycle strategies, ensuring timely replacements and refurbishments while avoiding excessive hardware turnover.

-Standardize workplace technology to reduce complexity, lower maintenance costs, and improve efficiency.

• Process efficiency, automation, and compliance:

-Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline IT workplace operations and reduce manual workload.

-Create and maintain IT documentation, asset tracking records, and support procedures to enhance operational efficiency.

-Ensure compliance with company IT security policies and best practices while minimizing associated compliance costs.

Skills and qualifications

-3+ years of experience in IT workplace services, IT support, or a similar role with a strong focus on cost efficiency.

-Proven experience in IT procurement, vendor negotiations, and budget management.

-Strong knowledge of cost-effective IT asset management, lifecycle planning, and contract optimization.

-Experience with Windows, macOS, Microsoft 365, and collaboration tools.

-Familiarity with IT asset management systems, inventory tracking, and cost-saving strategies.

-Analytical mindset, with the ability to assess financial impact and make data-driven cost reduction recommendations.

-Strong communication and negotiation skills to secure cost-effective vendor agreements while maintaining service quality.

-Ability to work independently and proactively identify cost-saving opportunities.

-Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
