Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Staff EW Analyst Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in Melbourne, FL.
The EW Analyst Engineer reports to the Electronic Warfare System (EWS) Lead and is responsible for developing and maintaining data analysis products in Python, MATLAB and C++. Analyst assists with the planning, coordination, and analysis supporting subsystem development, integration, test, production, and support flight test operations. Help in the development of System Architecture and integration of supplier hardware.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Frequently collaborate with technical leadership on system requirements generation and associated flow down, subsystem design/analysis, and subsystem performance verification including lab and flight testing.
Support any stage of the aircraft system life cycle activity such as preliminary design studies, primary design analysis, and integrated system design analysis.
Create analysis products supporting fielding of the system, airworthiness activity, and testing of the system.
Will coordinate and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure robust and maintainable configurations are produced.
Attend internal program, customer and/or supplier technical exchange meetings and/or formal program milestone reviews to provide and/or obtain progress status updates.
Candidate must demonstrate technical understanding in the field of RF spectrum operations as well as knowledge of other related disciplines. The candidate must have effective communication skills and a demonstrated ability to clearly and concisely present technical approaches and findings.
Basic Qualifications:
Staff EW Analyst Engineer (T05):
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 14 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master’s degree in a (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 12 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; or a Ph.D. (STEM) AND 9 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering.
Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company
Experience in technical leadership for RF/EW systems, focused on successfully delivering systems to customer(s)
Experience in RF/EW applications, including model development/application in Matlab, Python, and/or C/C++, tracking, algorithm integration and development
Experience in RF, ES and/or EA applications
Experience in developing and implementing EW systems
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent communication skills for both in-person and written content
Experience engaging directly with internal and external technical and programmatic representatives
Outstanding problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to assimilate new concepts quickly and independently
Demonstrated history of personnel development and successful team engagement
Interest in and track record of providing successful mentorship
Ability to work across multiple geographically separated campuses
Familiarity with RF sensing modalities
