Job Title: UK/Europe Regulatory Leader
Location: UK Remote

Reports to: Associate General Counsel, Regulatory
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced UK regulatory counsel/adviser for the UK/Europe to join our dynamic Legal team. This role will play a crucial role developing our regulatory strategy for the UK and Europe. The role requires expertise in telecommunications, technology regulations, and policy advocacy. This position will ensure the company adheres to UK and European regulatory requirements, fosters relationships with key regulatory bodies and trade associations, and shapes the regulatory landscape to align with the company’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Strategy and Compliance
Develop and implement regulatory strategies to ensure compliance with UK and European communications regulations.
Monitor, interpret, and communicate regulatory changes and their potential impact on the business.
Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., legal, operations, carrier relations, product, and engineering) to ensure regulatory requirements are embedded into the company’s operations and offerings.
Oversee submissions, filings, and renewals of regulatory permits, licenses, and certifications.
Support and advise the carrier relations team on interconnection agreements.
Government and Regulatory Engagement
Establish and maintain strong relationships with UK and European regulatory bodies such as Ofcom and other relevant government agencies.
Represent the company in regulatory hearings, consultations, trade associations, and public forums.
Advocate for regulatory policies that support innovation and market growth while aligning with compliance requirements.
Risk Management
Identify regulatory risks and develop mitigation strategies to support business continuity and market access.
Collaborate with compliance and legal teams to address investigations or enforcement actions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Public Policy, Communications, or a related field (Master’s or advanced degree preferred).
Minimum 10 years of experience in regulatory affairs, telecommunications, or a related field.
In-depth knowledge of UK and European telecommunications and communications regulations.
Knowledge of telecommunications and communications regulations in other geographies (e.g. North America, APAC) helpful.
Proven track record of successfully managing regulatory compliance and advocacy efforts.
Exceptional understanding of the regulatory environment for communications and technology companies in the UK and Europe.
Strong leadership, project management, and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders.
Strategic thinker with the ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes and identify opportunities for advocacy.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Comfortable working with senior executives and cross-functional teams.
