Zendesk for Startups is a business initiative at Zendesk focused on helping startups drive growth and prepare for scale by creating great customer experiences with Zendesk products. As the Startups Marketing Manager, you will lead Growth Marketing initiatives across both digital and field channels to drive adoption and engagement among startups in the Brazilian ecosystem. You will design and execute innovative marketing campaigns and programs that generate awareness and drive demand for Zendesk among the region’s most promising startups.
This role requires a deep understanding of startup ecosystems, as well as experience with performance marketing, event execution, and field marketing tactics. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including our regional sales teams, the global Zendesk for Startups team, and external partners, to deliver impactful marketing strategies that resonate with startup founders and their teams.
Your responsibilities will include managing marketing initiatives such as field events, thought leadership content, online advertising, and strategic sponsorships to strengthen Zendesk’s presence in the startup community. Success in this role will require creativity, strategic thinking, and the ability to analyze campaign performance to refine and scale efforts.
The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess a blend of data-driven decision-making and creative problem-solving, and have a proven track record of building growth-focused marketing programs tailored to startups and their unique challenges.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement top-of-funnel strategies that generate a robust pipeline of startup applications to the Zendesk for Startups program, leveraging both online and offline channels.
Plan, execute, and measure impactful field marketing activities, such as startup ecosystem events, workshops, and sponsorships, to establish Zendesk as the go-to customer experience platform for high-growth startups.
Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams, including sales, product marketing, and global startups teams, to ensure alignment of marketing strategies and execution with regional growth objectives.
Establish Zendesk’s thought leadership by producing and distributing high-quality content, such as case studies, blog posts, and founder-focused resources, to build trust and credibility in the startup ecosystem.
Help define and refine the regional growth marketing strategy by staying ahead of startup ecosystem trends, identifying new opportunities for engagement, and continuously iterating on marketing approaches to stay relevant and competitive.
Requirements:
Based in São Paulo, Brazil
4-6 years of related work experience
A passion for technology, startups, and creating impactful marketing strategies to support other businesses as they grow
Immersed in the regional startup ecosystem, with an understanding of key players, ecosystem dynamics, and emerging trends within the region
Proven experience in executing marketing campaigns (digital and field) with measurable results, including event management and content creation
Demonstrated analytical skills, with the ability to measure campaign performance, program impact, and marketing ROI
A proactive, independent self-starter who thrives in a high-growth, fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly
Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and deliver presentations effectively
Fluency in English and Portuguese is required
Nice to haves:
Subject matter expertise on managing customer support and/or sales teams
Experience as a founder, at an accelerator or venture capital firm
