Major Duties:
- In a developmental capacity, receives training and close supervision in the performance of duties and responsibilities as set forth in the position guide for Contract Specialist, NF-4 (PD 18909). Gradually assumes more responsibility and learns to perform the full scope of the duties required of the position. Completes a prescribed agenda of formal/informal classroom and on-the-job training and self-development as set forth in the individual Training Development Plan. Non-competitive promotion of the incumbent of this position may be effected after one year of satisfactory performance to Contract Specialist, NF-04 (PD 18909, 18908, or 18907). The target position description must be classifiable to its present title, pay plan, series, and pay band level at the time the incumbent is performing the full scope of the major duties under the proper level of supervision.
Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE CLEARLY VERIFIABLE IN YOUR RESUME. GOVERNMENT POSITIONS MUST INCLUDE PAY PLAN, SERIES, GRADE, TO AND FROM DATES, AND GOVERNMENT AGENCY/DEPARTMENT. Must include at least one year of experience performing duties at a level which equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform successfully in the position. Experience in a customer service environment which provided a basic understanding of principles and concepts of contracting. Must have demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other software. Preferred are those candidates who also possess a bachelor's degree in a related field. Experience must be demonstrated in your resume.
