Role Overview: 

The Bench and Resource Manager plays a critical role in ensuring optimal resource utilization, effective bench management, and strategic workforce planning. This role demands meticulous planning, strong stakeholder engagement, and proactive problem-solving skills to effectively align organizational resources with business demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategically manage resource allocation across multiple projects to ensure optimal utilization and efficiency.
  • Oversee and manage bench resources, identifying skill gaps and executing strategies for talent redeployment and utilization.
  • Coordinate with project leads, account managers, and recruitment teams to forecast demand and supply effectively.
  • Monitor project pipelines and proactively manage bench resources to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct regular bench reviews, generate insightful reports, and provide analysis to senior leadership.
  • Support workforce planning and capacity management initiatives aligned with strategic business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain an accurate, up-to-date resource management database.
  • Build strong professional relationships with stakeholders, project leaders, and consultants to enhance resource visibility and deployment effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in resource management.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience in resource management, bench management, or related roles within a consulting, IT, or professional services environment.
  • Proven experience in workforce planning, resource allocation, and demand-supply forecasting.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficiency in resource management tools and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
