  • Salary HEW 7 ($99,618 - $107,831) + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements
  • Based at the Bundoora campus, but may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University

About the Role

The Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Coordinator is responsible for the planning, implementation and administration of placements of pre-service teachers enrolled in the School’s initial teacher education programs. The Coordinator ensures that all placements meet the relevant practical teaching requirements of the degree, as well as the compliance requirements of the University. 

Coordinating a team who are responsible for engaging with schools and other educational agencies, and sourcing practical placements for pre-service students and ensuring that all contract compliance requirements are met.

This position involves consultation with key internal stakeholders, across a variety of programs of study across several academic schools, and close collaboration with external key stakeholders, including local and global employers, professional associations, and government agencies.

To be successful in this position, you’ll have:

  • Proven project management expertise including well-developed planning, organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills, and a demonstrated capacity to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Significant experience in leading and managing a team to achieve identified goals and targets.
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully prioritising, monitoring and evaluating performance and responding flexibly and promptly in a client driven environment.
  • Confident communication skills for consulting and ensuring collaboration with key stakeholders inside and outside of the RMIT community including high level written skills to produce project plans and reports.
