This role serves as the Segment Compliance Leader for GE HealthCare’s Patient Care Solutions (“PCS”) business. The successful candidate will be an attorney who works across a global team to lead and enhance the ethics & compliance function.You will be part of the GE HealthCare Global Law & Policy team reporting to the General Counsel, PCS, and will coordinate closely with GE HealthCare’s Chief Compliance Officer and the Global and Regional Compliance teams.
Job Description
Responsibilities
Drive proactive compliance leadership and engagement to ensure that business colleagues are responsible for compliance with policies, processes, controls and other initiatives.
Develop metrics and dashboards in coordination with global team to provide leadership with appropriate indicators of compliance health.
With business leadership, lead the PCS Compliance Review Board (“CRB”) to drive real-time and relevant discussions of compliance topics, risks, mitigations and program efforts.
Coordinate with global compliance leadership to implement business risk assessment initiatives and drive mitigation plans arising therefrom.
In collaboration with the Chief Compliance Officer, support integration and due diligence on compliance topics in mergers, acquisitions, strategic investments and other complex business transactions.
Provide training support to the business on GE HealthCare’s Spirit & Letter and other global, regional and business policies and procedures, including, for example, coordinating with the global compliance team to manage the business’ interactions with healthcare providers.
With global compliance team, develop relevant and timely compliance communications and trainings to embed the program in day-to-day activities.
Monitor internal and external compliance trends, including compliance initiatives, industry compliance failures and applicable, industry specific regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with global/region/local Ombuds and investigations teams to support GE HealthCare’s open reporting system and working with the business to ensure that matters are closed quickly with appropriate remediation.
Coordinate with the global compliance team and relevant business owners to support regular monitoring and audits of compliance areas and support driving requisite improvements/resolutions for issues identified, including identification of trends and conducting root cause analysis of issues.
Identify and resolve compliance-related procedural issues and areas of improvement, and ensure remediation actions plans are established, implemented and tracked through to closure.
Coordinate with global compliance leaders to roll-out and implement compliance priorities.
Any other responsibilities identified by the PCS GC or business from time-to-time.
Qualifications
JD (or global equivalent) with active bar membership
A minimum of ten (10) years professional experience in compliance, risk mitigation, legal, operational and/or other relevant assurance areas, preferably with a multi-national healthcare or life sciences company.
Knowledge of and experience with compliance issues, such as: healthcare fraud and abuse, anti-corruption/Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, U.S. Anti-Kickback Statute (AKS) and False Claims Act, third party compliance, anti-money laundering, controllership and conflict of interest.
Previous experience in: (a) identifying and resolving compliance issues quickly and effectively; (b) ability to make timely and informed management calls with proven ability to drive operational excellence; and (c) implementing compliance policies, processes and procedures.
Ability to influence senior management to drive sustainable cultural and organizational change.
Strong grasp of business ethics policies and current compliance practices and relevant industry standards as reflected in GE HealthCare’s Spirit & The Letter (available on gehealthcare.com).
Strong business acumen, ability to detect emerging compliance and industry trends and develop appropriate responses.
Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills with ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization and to facilitate risk-assessment and decision-making.

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $157,600.00-$236,400.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
