We’re looking for an experienced Singapore based Operations Manager, this is a critical position to run our Singapore depot and support Malaysia.

What you’ll do:

  • The Operations Manager is responsible for coordinating all activities within their assigned service centers in Singapore and Malaysia, delivering positive operational performance results, and leading & coordinating the operations teams, primarily made up of technicians.
  • The role has direct responsibility for customer service delivery and the coordination and facilitation of core operations activities in the service centers. This individual will lead and manage technicians and coordinate the preparation and repair of Aggreko equipment.
  • You will own local financial admin tasks within & external to Service Centre, driving business standards & cost controls to ensure profitability.
  • You'll own procurement within the Service Centre; driving business standards & cost controls to ensure profitability, owning controllable costs such as Technician overtime vs. forecasts/budgets; Subcontractor & temp labor spends vs. forecast/budget; Test & turn spend & Inventory variances; Technician travel spend & Consumables spend; Labor recovery details.
  • You will ensure optimal team performance and capability by providing day-to-day leadership, coaching, development and corrective action; Manages all aspects of their team, supporting service execution delivery to customer service levels.
  • You will be accountable for the appropriate & timely deployment of fleet & staff, the Operations Manager ensures the on-time maintenance, availability & reliability of assets pre delivery and during operations, accuracy of available assets and inventory yard based; as well as service material costs by budget or KPI.

You’ll have the following skills and experience:

  • At least 8 years’ experience in power industry with safety focused team management experience.
  • Diploma in Trade or Engineering Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services.
  • Hands-on management style with practical knowledge of common facilities operations e.g. air-conditioning system, compressors and electrical system.
  • Ability to drive for results, decision quality, and customer focus.
  • Ability to communicate with all functions and levels.
  • Ability to plan and organize effectively and efficiently.
  • Ability to take initiatives and propose improvements.
