Stanley Engineered Fastening (SEF) is a division of Stanley Black & Decker that generates $2B of annual revenue. SEF trades in engineered products for Automotive & Light Equipment EVs, Solar, and Aerospace industries with operations concentrated in The Americas, Europe, and Asia. How You Will Make An Impact…
The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for planning, analysis, and reporting activities for the SEF Global Automotive Business Unit within Stanley Engineered Fastening (~$1B Global BU). This position reports directly to the Director of SEF Global Automotive and interacts regularly with Regional Finance Directors, operations finance, and the business leaders across the SEF Global Automotive segment; and is an active participant in SEF Global Automotive leadership cadences. A successful candidate will not only have FP&A acumen but be willing and able to participate in strategic and global routines as a true business partner.
What You Will Be Doing…
- Coordinate weekly, monthly, quarterly forecasting rhythms. Including annual budget, closing cycle, quarterly forecasts, & annual strategic plan
- Prepare materials for monthly business reviews, including insightful ad-hoc analytics to present to senior leaders to address current business performance issues
- Drive transparency and understanding of financial results across a matrix organization. Be able to bring together analytics from operations finance teams, commercial teams, and regional finance teams, share analytics effectively, to drive common alignment across teams
- Identify and develop tools to automate reporting, provide visibility into key metrics, and drive operating performance
- Strong focus on understanding and communicating key variances, identifying and implementing tools and models to streamline processes, increase visibility and drive effective decision making
Who You Are…

- Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance
- Working knowledge of ERP, financial reporting systems, and Oracle Hyperion experience preferred
- Experience with dashboarding / visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Qlikview, PowerBI)
- Strong Microsoft Office skills particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong communication, both verbal and written
- Ability to foster a spirit of cooperation and teamwork across a matrixed finance organization
- Able to build cross-functional relationships and interact with all levels in the organization
- Work requires professional written and verbal communication
- Ability to communicate headwinds / tailwinds and business results in a concise yet thorough manner
- Strong analytical skills
- Results driven with emphasis on keeping customer and business commitments
- Consistently demonstrates highest level of personal ethical conduct
- Demonstrates problem solving skills through implementation and sustaining business processes
- Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
