We are looking for a Senior Director of Merchandising, Levi’s® Global Women’s Bottoms who is responsible for the development & implementation of the Global Category Strategies for the business. You will lead the Women’s Bottoms Global Merchandising team by setting the category vision, long range growth initiatives and global product & pricing architecture in order to meet and exceed financial goals and consumer expectations in line with brand vision. You will inspire a consumer focused, growth-minded, innovative, and team-oriented approach while driving key growth initiatives across the globe.

About the Job:

  • Responsible for the development of a compelling and consistent global product offering in service to overall business strategies/financial plans and in line with brand expectations.
  • Develop and drive the global strategy and long-range category plan to drive sustainable, profitable category growth, increase market share drive productivity and sell through.
  • Lead and create an assortment strategy based on analysis of both the Levi’s and competitor marketplace with consideration of global and local consumer needs.
  • Clearly communicate and engage the Global Merchandising strategic initiatives and direction with key internal & external cross-functional partners to inspire alignment and execution to a common vision.
  • Lead the team for Global milestones, coordinating deadlines and deliverables with business partners and peers.
  • Collaborate with Design & Product Development on seasonal point of view, fabric rationalization, margin goals and commercialization of product for optimal productivity.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnership with regions/affiliates to develop insight into the local markets and ensure market specific merchandising recommendations are clearly understood and addressed by the global product teams.
  • Identify and react quickly to business and marketplace product and pricing trends; relentless focus on pursuing emerging opportunities & mitigating risks to drive business growth.
  • Drive digital growth by optimizing consumer shopping journey and creating engaging loyalty programs.
  • Deliver cohesive and actionable qualitative and quantitative product feedback to internal and external cross-functional partners & merchandising leadership.
  • Provide consumer insight and sell out feedback to influence fit sessions and marketplace insight research.
  • Create a multi-level team that is culturally connected, driven to win, and innovative with a relentless focus on understanding the competition and delighting the consumer.

About You:

  • Bachelor degree required
  • 10+ year experience within the apparel industry in Merchandising
  • Previous product development experience in apparel; denim product knowledge a plus 
  • Strong financial and analytical skills 
  • Ability to create, foster engagement around and execute a long-term Strategic Vision
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing effective business processes and managing complex, cross-functional projects
  • Ability to effectively interact & lead diverse cross functional teams
  • Exceptional collaboration skills and the ability to influence key stakeholders
  • Independent thinker with the ability to effectively problem solve
  • Thrives on working in a fast-paced environment and easily adapts to change
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively with executive level roles
  • Proficient with software applications, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Experienced in managing talent & cultivating growth in teams
  • Ability to travel as needed to enhance understanding of the marketplace and our consumers

This is a hybrid position based in our San Francisco, CA headquarters. You will be expected in office 3 days per week typically Tuesday-Thursday. Note, time in office can vary depending on business needs.”

The expected starting salary range for this role is $184,500- $274,600 per year. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, performance and business needs.
