We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead IT projects in the insurance domain. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering projects valued at $2M USD or more, with at least 3+ years of dedicated project management experience. A strong background in Java and related technologies is essential. Experience in implementing Life or P&C insurance projects will be a significant advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all phases of the project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Oversee projects involving Java and related technologies, such as Angular, Microservices, and enterprise-level system integrations.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets while aligning deliverables with business objectives.
- Prepare detailed project reports, dashboards, and updates for stakeholders and senior management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success and ensure effective communication across all stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements specific to Life and P&C insurance projects.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues while ensuring efficient change management practices.
- Maintain and enhance project documentation, including lessons learned for future reference.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of overall IT experience, with at least 3+ years in project management roles.
- Proven success in managing projects valued at $2M USD or more, with specific experience in the insurance domain.
- Experience managing projects involving Java, J2EE, Spring, Angular, Microservices, REST API, Oracle, Jenkins, GitHub, Kubernetes/Docker, and related technologies.
- Prior experience in Life or P&C insurance project implementation is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.
- Strong expertise in preparing detailed reports and dashboards to effectively communicate project progress.
- Familiarity with tools like JIRA, MS Project, or similar platforms.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications are highly preferred.
