What You’ll Do:

Function as a backend developer, working with company bidding and scalable DSP teams.

This role will be based in the New York office. Our team follows a hybrid schedule working in-office three days a week and remotely for the rest.  We don't provide any travel accommodations at this time,

• Responsible for building Nexxen next generation bidding and user data platforms, working with high scale computing patterns and building services utilizing Docker and Kubernetes with Java or Scala.
• Responsible for full software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, and deployment of new features for software stacks.
• Build and maintain high volume, performant and scalable web services.
• Parse and identify Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) Real-Time bidding request and generate bid response efficiently for ad targeting and filtering.
• Improve company bidding systems and user and fraud data stores while building the next generation bidding stack, focusing on a global rollout of company bidding platforms.
• Dig through profilers and optimize request performance and write systems that power billions of requests per day at low latencies.
• Work with system software architecture for large distributed systems and apply experience with SSH, Linux, and network protocols.
• Deliver highly-scaled distributed systems that are proficient with caching and NoSQL data stores like Aerospike, KeyDB, Redis, MongoDB and work with database engines such as MySQL, Vertica.
• Process and aggregate Hadoop files using map reduce jobs.
• Collect, log and process billions of events utilizing Kafka based queuing and logging.
• Apply knowledge of version control systems such as Git and collaborate with developers, product managers, and business operations to enhance the effectiveness of the tech stack.
• Customize Nexxen software to optimize operational efficiency, factoring in the importance of logging and monitoring utilizing Datadog and Grafana for observability.
• Create analytical visualization UI utilizing Streamlit.

What will you bring?

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field and five years of experience in the job offered or five years’ experience in professional coding.
• Experience must include three years each of the following: DSP bidding control systems; Java or Scala and Python language; Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB)
• Real-Time bidding spec and ad targeting; building and maintaining distributed applications; SSH, Linux, and network protocols; MySQL database, Vertica, Hadoop and map reduce jobs; KeyDB, Redis, Mongo database and Aerospike; Kafka; Datadog or Grafana metrics observability; Streamlit; Docker and Kubernetes; Version control system such as Git or GitLab continuous integration/continuous deployment; and Agile development process.
• Experience may be gained concurrently.

In support of pay transparency and equity, the minimum and maximum full-time annual base salary for this role in New York is $180,000 at the time of posting, with the potential of an incentive or bonus. While this is our reasonable expectation this is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, education, certifications, responsibility, and geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
