About the role:

As a Developer Advocate for Hashgraph, you will be at the forefront of Hedera’s latest developments and the broader Web3/blockchain ecosystem, focusing on innovation at the intersection of decentralized technologies and artificial intelligence. Your mission will be to empower developers, Hedera Governing Council members, clients, and ecosystem partners to leverage Hedera's capabilities for blockchain applications and AI-enhanced solutions. You'll act as the technical bridge between developers and Hedera’s core product teams, ensuring our platform evolves to meet the needs of both Web3 and AI communities.

You’ll provide deep expertise in smart contract development, EVM-compatible tooling, Hedera native services, and integrating AI-driven tools and solutions into decentralized applications. Your efforts will inspire and enable developers to build scalable, efficient, and cutting-edge applications on Hedera.

This role uniquely combines developer advocacy with outbound product management, giving you ownership of driving the adoption of AI and blockchain technologies through ecosystem enablement and partnerships. You will actively identify developer pain points, influence the design of AI and blockchain infrastructure, and help shape the developer experience by collaborating closely with Hedera’s product and engineering teams and core ecosystem partners. Additionally, you will be responsible for building a technical AI-focused roadmap for developer tools, ensuring Hedera remains a leader in AI-powered decentralized solutions.

This role is ideal for a technical professional passionate about AI, Solidity, and decentralized systems who wants to drive the adoption of Web3 and AI technologies.

You may find yourself doing all of the following:

• Championing AI and Blockchain Integration: Advocating for and guiding developers in integrating AI capabilities (e.g., machine learning models, AI APIs) into decentralized Hedera applications.
• Enabling AI Infrastructure: Driving the development and adoption of AI-focused infrastructure and dev tools solutions on Hedera.
• Serving as a Smart Contract and AI Expert: Helping developers design and deploy smart contracts using Solidity and EVM-compatible tools while exploring use cases for AI-driven dApps.
• Building and Driving an AI-Focused Developer Roadmap: Defining and executing a strategy for AI-enabled developer tools and services within the Hedera ecosystem.
• Driving Internal AI Adoption: Working with Hedera’s internal teams to integrate AI technologies into core platform offerings and ensure the seamless adoption of AI-enhanced services.
• Gathering Market Insights: Identifying developer needs, trends, and pain points within the AI and blockchain ecosystems, translating insights into actionable product requirements and ecosystem initiatives.
• Driving Adoption of Tools and Services: Working with partners and internal teams to build, launch, and evangelize developer tooling and infrastructure solutions that enable AI-powered dApps and services.
• Shaping the Developer Experience: Contributing to Hedera Improvement Proposals (HIPs) that enhance the developer experience.
• Engaging with Developer Communities: Supporting and inspiring blockchain and AI developers across social media, Discord, GitHub, conferences, hackathons, and other community channels.
• Collaborating with Ecosystem Partners: Acting as a technical liaison between Hedera and key ecosystem partners (e.g., AI API providers, tooling vendors, and enterprise developers) to drive co-development opportunities and ensure successful integrations.
• Advocating for Hedera: Representing Hedera at conferences, showcasing innovative use cases in DeFi, AI, and dApp development.

Qualification Requirements:

• Blockchain Expertise: Proficiency in Solidity and experience developing smart contracts on Ethereum or other EVM-compatible blockchains (e.g., Polygon, Binance Smart Chain)
• AI Integration Experience: Familiarity with integrating AI/ML models or APIs (e.g., OpenAI, TensorFlow, Hugging Face) into applications
• Web3 Tooling: Strong experience with blockchain developer tools like Hardhat, Ethers.js, OpenZeppelin, Remix, etc.
• AI Understanding: Knowledge of machine learning concepts, natural language processing (NLP), or computer vision frameworks
• DeFi Knowledge: Understanding of decentralized finance protocols, standards like ERC20/ERC721/ERC1155, and platforms such as Aave, Uniswap, or Chainlink
• Architecture Skills: Strong understanding of blockchain protocols, decentralized architecture, and how AI can enhance dApps

• Hedera Experience: Familiarity with Hedera native services, such as the Hedera Token Service (HTS) and Hedera Consensus Service (HCS)
