Schedule production, monitor order backlog, analyze information, and solve issues as they arise. Work closely with Sales, Metallurgists, Transportation and Department Managers. Determine the best inventory mix for saleable materials.

Responsibilities:
  • Schedule the rolling mill for the production of steel products.
  • Work closely with the Melt Shop Scheduler to coordinate the timely delivery of billets to the rolling mill.
  • Monitor order backlog to ensure on-time delivery and mill efficiency.
  • Analyze information and coordinate solutions when issues arise.
  • Interface closely with Sales, Metallurgists, Transportation, and Department Managers.
  • Effectively manage inventory levels.
  • Analyze sales forecast and projections to determine the best inventory mix for saleable product.

Additional responsibilities as required by management.

Qualifications:

Required

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Organized self-starter

Preferred

    • RBD product knowledge
    • Have a good grasp on the RBD production process flow.
    • Willingness to travel
    Previous scheduling or planning experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
