Ward Clerk - Ward 5A
Ward 5A is a 32 bed inpatient unit seeking a highly motivated and experienced Ward Clerk for a Permanent Part Time position (16 hours per fortnight).
About the role
This is a job share arrangement where you will work every alternate weekend in the Fortnight on Saturday & Sunday from 830-1700 (1 weekend per fortnight) This role is pivotal to the smooth running of the unit and this we are seeking a committed and compassionate individual to join our team.
Key responsibilities will include processing patient admissions, completing discharges, scheduling appointments and answering telephones enquires. We are looking for a candidate with excellent customer service, strong communication skills, who is proactive and works well within a team.

2. Accurately and efficiently process patient activities | Electronically process patient activities such as referrals, registrations, appointments and admissions accurately and in a timely fashion. |
3. Prepare accurate and timely reports | Prepare accurate orders, invoices, activity data and/or billing in a timely fashion |
4. Support the work of the team and department | Work cooperatively as part of the team and assist other areas and staff as necessary Prepare agendas, coordinate meeting dates and room bookings and take minutes for meetings Assess situations or information, clearly and accurately communicate information and make recommendations to peers, team leaders or managers.
