Job Title: Asset Liability Management Associate 

Department: Finance

Reports to: Asset Liability Manager 

Exemption Status: Salary Exempt 40 hours  

Hybrid Position : 3-4 days in office, remote as needed

Position Summary

The Asset Liability Associate will be responsible for day-to-day activities necessary to model and monitor the risks related to the Credit Union’s balance sheet, including but not limited to, Interest Rate Risk and Liquidity Risk. They will gather data, run testing, and produce reports for monthly ALM and Alco meetings.

Essential Functions & Primary Responsibilities

• Generate ME reports for Alco and Board
• Credit reviews on investment portfolio
• Assist in Alco packet creation
• Responsible for maintaining documentation for investment purchases 
• Maintain bond accounting software entries
• Calculations of Net present value, statistical analysis, some actuary skills required 
• Complete ME tasks for investment activities and forecasting
• Assists with documentation generation for quarterly ALM runs
• Ensures compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, and Office of Foreign Asset Controls, and should request legal interpretation as necessary. Must ensure subordinates are also compliant with such laws and regulations.
• Must be bondable. 
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Qualifications

• Working towards Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field or Bachelor’s degree 
• This position requires an understanding of basic computer skills including m365 suites.
• Excel knowledge, understanding of strong formulas, utilization and creation of spreadsheets is a must 
• Sql Experience is a plus 
• Prior internship experience in Finance or a year of experience in Finance, or Asset Liability Management

• Knowledge of financial risk concepts
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• Comfortable learning and adapting to new systems, processes, and change.
