Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is looking for a dedicated Cath Lab Specialist to join the team. This role will be Part-time, 20 hours/week. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance eligible.

Cath Lab Specialist Responsibilities:

• Formulates an individual Plan of Care for patients with complex needs to achieve a desired outcome.                
• Acts as a clinical resource and serves as a mentor to healthcare team members while displaying leadership behaviors.
• Identifies own learning needs based on self-evaluation and the progress made from the previous year's goals. Demonstrates evidence of self-development activities (beyond orientation) and attends services/seminars related to field.
• Anticipates/maintains lab supply needs during procedures. Supports and suggests departmental cost-saving strategies and provides care in an efficient and cost conscious manner              
• Develops plans for quality improvement or participates in ongoing plans. Implements plans for incorporating research findings into practice. Takes initiative to participate in efficient and timely room turnover.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Certification - Basic Life Support Upon Start; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Upon Start; Registered in one of the following: RCIS, RCES, RTRVI, RTRCV, RTRCI, unless a graduate of an accredited school of nursing., CPR; ACLS if Critical Care Certification.
• Licensure - Registered Nurse Upon Start If the team member doesn't possess one of the above registries, the team member must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse.
• Experience  - One year of experience at an Inova cath lab or EP lab or Interventional Radiology Lab at a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist 2 level. Two years of equivalent experience/training in an interventional cardiac Cath Lab or an Electrophysiology Lab.
• Education - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing -OR graduate of an accredited School of Cardiovascular Technology -OR Radiology Technology or equivalent education and experience.

Preferred Requirements:

• Cath Lab experience
