Job Description
The job of Bookstore Manager is done for the purpose/s of providing support to department activities with specific responsibility for an array of fiscal services for student body and school site activities; conveying and updating fiscal information; and ensuring that fiscal practices are followed and disbursement of funds are within proper and legal guidelines.

High School Diploma or equivalent and at least two (2) years computerized accounts payable experience
Must possess or be eligible for Arizona Department of Public Safety IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
Must be able to perform high volume, detail work under pressure with accuracy
General proficiency in typing and knowledge of administrative and office procedures
Must have excellent math skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and other Spreadsheet and Database programs
Must demonstrate professionalism in attitude, dress and office demeanor
Ability to communicate effectively with staff, vendors and the general public
Essential and Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Respond to all internal and external customers, as it relates to position, in a prompt, efficient, friendly and patient manner.
Plan, supervise and direct all bookstore activities and student activity deposits.
Assume responsibility for receiving, identifying, issuing, collecting and taking inventory of all textbooks and supplies.
Maintains accurate financial records on school clubs and organizations including preparation of cash boxes for athletics and other school events.
Keep accurate records and ledgers and is responsible for all receipts including preparing cash receipt batches and a variety of reports.
Train staff and monitor transactions for compliance with the Uniform System of Financial Record and District policies and procedures.
Compiles financial information related to site assignment (e.g. gift/ donations funds, capital funds, traveler fees, etc.) for the purpose of providing required documentation and/or processing information.
Responsible for ordering the required textbooks, approving invoices and credits, and ensuring purchases are made within budget limits.
Maintains financial records related to student activities and/or events (e.g. ticket sales, yearbooks, dances, fund raisers, club activities, student projects, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring completeness and availability of records and compliance with district policy and established regulatory guidelines.
Requests quotations from vendors, warehouse, and/or district office staff for the purpose of providing cost information, purchasing and securing items.
Maintains accurate financial records on school clubs and organizations including preparation of cash boxes for athletics and other school events.
Supervises home varsity football ticket selling and deposit preparation process.
Annually computes inventory of books and school supplies.
Performs other duties and functions assigned.
