Job Description

The DPR Family of Companies Content Specialist will hold a pivotal role uniting journalism, public relations and marketing skills to surface, develop and promote compelling stories and content about the subsidiaries in DPR’s family of companies, our customers, projects, and people.

In support of OES Equipment & EIG Electrical Systems, the Content Specialist will be responsible for interviewing, writing, editing, and creating a broad array of content that helps support OES and EIG's strategic areas of focus and specific targeted projects / customers. This includes working with the Marketing & Get Work Leads to create strategic plans focused on storytelling and above the line Pre-sell Strategies. The Content Specialist will focus on creating targeted messaging according to DPR and Family of Companies standards and brand guidelines.  

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain strong and collaborative relationships with key subject matter experts, Marketing and Communications team members, sales team members and National Strategic Areas of Focus Leads.
• Generate compelling case studies and project-specific content highlighting company and project activities, events, staff, achievements, initiatives, and culture.
• Understand and explain how content aligns with the creative strategy driving the marketing/communications vision.
• Engage and interview project team members and subject matter experts to brainstorm and craft stories aligned with key messaging.
• Develop marketing and technical content for diverse audiences across multiple channels, including white papers, websites, sales enablement materials, and case studies.
• Develop communications content that builds brand awareness in support of regional and national strategic areas of focus.
• Provide support and/or lead award submissions.
• Contribute to the maintenance of company content on internal libraries and systems.
• Work closely with the Family of Companies lead to create and maintain regional information for the OES & EIG websites.
• Assist with social media content in alignment with our strategies.
• Research and assist with the execution of customer enablement content.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook. InDesign a plus.
• Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills
• Strong project management experience, able to juggle competing priorities.  
• 3-5 years of experience in journalism, editing, corporate storytelling and/or a related field. Construction industry experience a plus.  
• A keen interest in the latest trends in construction and comfort with being on construction jobsites where the work takes place.  
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field preferred.
• Experience managing social media channels is a plus.
