WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Leading and supporting the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing operations. The primary focus will be on optimizing processes, reducing waste, enhancing productivity, and ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. This role requires a data-driven, analytical mindset and a passion for driving change through process improvement methodologies such as Lean and other best practices.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

Continuous Improvement Leadership:

  • Lead and oversee continuous improvement projects, utilizing Lean and other improvement methodologies to drive operational excellence.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement across the manufacturing team, encouraging employee engagement and ownership of process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain improvement roadmaps, setting measurable goals and timelines for each initiative.
  • Process Optimization:
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in manufacturing processes, workflows, and equipment to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
  • Conduct process analysis and performance assessments to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas of waste.
  • Design, implement, and sustain process improvements, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting:
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Generate detailed reports on the performance of continuous improvement initiatives, presenting results to senior leadership.
  • Utilize data analytics tools to develop actionable insights that support informed decision-making.
  • Training & Development:
  • Provide training and mentoring to manufacturing teams on continuous improvement methodologies and best practices.
  • Develop and conduct workshops and seminars to increase awareness and understanding of process optimization techniques across the workforce.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate closely with various departments, including Engineering, Production, Quality Control, and Supply Chain, to ensure successful project execution and alignment with company goals.
  • Engage in problem-solving activities with teams to address complex production issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Change Management:
  • Lead change management initiatives to ensure smooth adoption of new processes, technologies, and methodologies.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, ensuring transparency and buy-in from all stakeholders.
  • Performance Metrics and KPI Management:
  • Develop, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, waste reduction, and quality improvement.
  • Monitor ongoing process improvements to ensure sustained impact and continuous optimization.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or a related field (master’s degree or certifications in Lean or Six Sigma is a plus).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a continuous improvement or leadership role.
  • Proven experience implementing Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and operational best practices.
  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience with ERP and other manufacturing systems (e.g., SAP, MES) is a plus.
