Job Title: Data Engineer (W2 Contract)

Location: Hybrid – Columbus, OH (2–3 days onsite per week)Duration: 6–12 months

🧩 About the Role:

We’re seeking an experienced Data Engineer to support enterprise-level data architecture and pipeline development in a hybrid environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in cloud-native ecosystems and enjoys building scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions.

🔍 Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement robust data pipelines for batch and real-time processing
  • Develop ETL/ELT workflows using tools like Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or Apache Spark
  • Architect and optimize data lakes and warehouses (Azure Synapse, Snowflake, or Redshift)
  • Ensure data quality, lineage, and governance across all environments
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and application teams to deliver integrated solutions
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data flows, performance bottlenecks, and security issues
  • Document architecture, workflows, and operational procedures

🧠 Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering
  • Strong proficiency with Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, and Databricks
  • Expertise in Python, SQL, and Spark for data transformation
  • Experience with cloud security principles (Active Directory, encryption, network policies)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control (Git, Azure DevOps)
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, schema design, and performance tuning
