Cooper Farms is currently seeking a Corporate Safety Manager to join our Corporate team. 

 

The primary goal of this position is to lead and manage Cooper Farms safety programs across all locations, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment. This role is responsible for developing and implementing safety policies and fostering a proactive safety culture throughout the organization.

 

LOCATION: Corporate position - can be based out of any Cooper Farms Division

SHIFT HOURS: Monday through Friday (salary role)

STARTING RATE: Commensurate with experience

ADDITIONAL PAY: Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)

 

Job Functions:

  • Lead and develop the safety team to meet the needs of the organization
  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Standardize safety programs and procedures across the company to provide a consistently safe workplace environment
  • Actively promote and foster a safety-first culture within the organization, ensuring that safety is a core organizational value at all levels
  • Establish effective training programs to support a safe and compliant workplace
  • Create effective processes for accident investigation, after action reviews, and follow-through on corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate documentation of safety activities, incident reports, investigations, after action reviews, and corrective actions
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting of safety data to improve decision making
  • Attend industry events to stay current on safety trends and best practices
  • Provide budgeting and financial leadership and decision making to provide effective planning for all safety related expenses
  • Collaborate with site leadership to identify and mitigate safety risks
