As a Senior Software System Architect, you will be a key leader in our engineering team, responsible for designing and implementing robust, scalable, and efficient software architectures. This role requires extensive experience and expertise in embedded systems, cloud computing, connectivity solutions, platform engineering, SDK/API lifecycle management, and layered software architecture. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions and drive our technological vision forward.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of software architectures that meet the needs of complex systems and applications, with a focus on embedded systems, cloud integration, connectivity, platform engineering, and layered software architecture.

• Define and document architectural standards, guidelines, and best practices for embedded systems, cloud-based solutions, and platform engineering.

• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical feasibility.

• Lead the evaluation and selection of software technologies, tools, and frameworks, particularly those related to embedded systems, cloud platforms, connectivity protocols, and platform engineering.

• Oversee the integration of software components, ensuring seamless interoperability, performance, and security across embedded devices, cloud services, and platform layers.

• Manage the lifecycle of SDKs and APIs, including design, development, documentation, and maintenance.

• Conduct architectural reviews and provide expert guidance to development teams on best practices for embedded systems, cloud connectivity, platform engineering, and layered software architecture.

• Identify and mitigate technical risks and challenges throughout the software development lifecycle, particularly those related to embedded systems, cloud integration, and platform engineering.

• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in embedded systems, cloud computing, connectivity, platform engineering, and layered software architecture, incorporating them into architectural strategies.

• Mentor and support junior architects and developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

• Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Extensive experience in software architecture and design, with a focus on large-scale, distributed systems, embedded systems, cloud computing, and platform engineering.

• Proficiency in software development languages and frameworks such as Java, C++, Python, .NET, and others.

• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps.

• Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and microservices architecture.

• Knowledge of embedded systems design and development, including real-time operating systems (RTOS), firmware development, and hardware-software integration.

• Familiarity with connectivity protocols and technologies such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, and IoT.

• Expertise in platform engineering principles, including the design and management of SDKs and APIs.

• Strong understanding of layered software architecture and its application in complex systems.

• Knowledge of database design and management, including SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions on time and within budget.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the [specific industry, e.g., healthcare, finance, etc.].

• Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and practices.

• Certifications in relevant technologies or methodologies .

• Experience with edge computing and IoT ecosystems.
