ROLE SUMMARY

Description

We are seeking an experienced Application Development Generalist to join our Enterprise Architecture team. As an Application Development Generalist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining a wide range of applications and systems that support our business operations. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to understand business requirements and develop technical solutions that meet those needs.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain a wide range of applications and systems, including web applications, mobile applications, and enterprise software systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop technical solutions that meet those needs.
• Develop and maintain technical architectures for applications and systems, ensuring scalability, security, and alignment with business objectives.
• Participate in the development of the company's technology strategy and roadmap.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in software development, including cloud computing, DevOps, and agile methodologies.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.
• Participate in the development of technical standards, guidelines, and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with applications and systems.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

Work Experience

• 10+ years of experience in application development, with a focus on generalist development (e.g., web development, enterprise software development).
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including Java, Python, and JavaScript.
• Experience with front end (UI) technologies and content management platforms like Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Power Tools.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms, including AWS and Azure.
• Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycles, including design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to Have:

• Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of containerization and serverless computing.
• Experience with data analytics and visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Certification in a programming language or cloud computing platform.
