GE Healthcare Ireland Ltd are a Pharmaceutical/MedTech company with various facilities worldwide. GE Healthcare in Cork manufacture Contrast Media agents. Contrast Media agents are injectables used when patients undergo some scanning procedure in hospitals, such as CT, MRI, X-Ray or Ultrasound scans. The contrast media agent allows for better visibility of specific tissue, organs or blood vessels. The results of using such agents can lead to a more thorough medical image output. This detailed medical image will allow a radiographer and/or clinician give a more informed diagnosis which may assist the patient in further treatment.Our clients/customers can be thought of as Hospitals, Medical suppliers, Pharmacies etc. etc and ultimately the end patient is our key customer.
Job Description
The role:
To support the Logistics Team in creating export documentation for shipments from the GE HealthCare Cork plant, while gaining a foundational understanding of logistics within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The role involves learning key logistics processes with guidance from experienced team members and mentors.

Responsibilities include assisting with the following
- Preparation of Export Documents
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration
- Coordination of Shipments
- Logistics Learning and Development
Internship dates:
The internship will start in early June (03rd, 04th) 2025 for a 12-week period.
Working hours:
Working hours are 39 hrs per week, Mon-Thur 08.00-16.30 & Friday 08.00-15.30, Each day will consist of a 15 min morning tea break and a 30 min lunch break.

Work location:
This role will be an “Onsite” role for the duration of 12 weeks, “Working from Home” or “Hybrid Working” conditions is not an option for this role.
Required Skills:
Proficiency in MS365/MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Someone who is inquisitive and not afraid to ask questions to enhance their learnings.
Knowledge of SAP or another ERP system would be advantageous.
