Introduction
We are looking for a Test Automation Engineer for Platform System Integration and QA in the department Architecture and Integration.
Role:
As a Test (integration) Automation Engineer in our team, you are involved in ensuring the seamless integration of various software components. Here are some key tasks associated with this role:
- Create (design, develop and improve) tests in BDD (Gherkin) and automate test scripts that validate the integration points between different modules or systems.
- Write clean, efficient, and reusable code to ensure long-term maintainability.
- Adhere to best practices for test automation, including naming conventions, code organization, and handling test data. Knows Continuous improvement is key to
- Proactive in identifying, analyzing, and investigating defects or anomalies, and in reaching out to teams to resolve issues to successfully proceed with testing and integration.
- Collaborate with developers and QA to identify root causes, propose solutions, to address integration issues and improve overall system quality.
- Work closely with PO, architects, SM, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, deadlines and needs of Integration initiatives and team.
Other requirements:
3-5 years experience in development and or testing.
ISTQB is an advantage.
Domain knowledge in logistics, warehousing is an advantage.
Has experience in Agile (SAFE) environment.
Knowledgeable on testing tools with experience in the following:
- Software languages (experience and knowledge): C sharp and or Java. Additionally, knowledge of Gatling is an advantage.
- Working knowledge of developing/deployment of test systems/frameworks within cloud systems (Azure, AWS, etc.)
- API Testing – Postman, SoapUI (required work experience in at least one option)
- UI Automation Testing: Playwright, Cypress (required work experience in at least one option)
- BDD Framework: Cucumber (Java, JavaScript), Gherkin
- Experience in working with GIT (Bitbucket), Jira, QC, docker, CICD (flux or similar), Kafka, etc.
- Knowledge testing frameworks and tools (such as Java, Playwright etc.) to build robust and maintainable test suites.

The Integration team is a group of technical test engineers, Integration managers along with architects responsible for Integration of platforms (Airports, Warehouse and Parcel). They are responsible to integration various modules, test based on requirements & quality KPI’s, and make platform releases. The team is part of the Technology department (former Research & Development), plays a key role in achieving Vanderlande strategic ambitions.
