About the Role:
We are a team of passionate experts in autonomy, robotics, AI, machine learning, large scale compute, electronics design, systems design, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering who have a deep desire to see self-driving products make the way we move safer, faster, and more efficient.
This position is on-site at our facility in New Stanton, PA with expectations of at least 4 days a week in office. We test our vehicles at our New Stanton test track so you will have the opportunity to be hands on with our hardware and team of experts everyday.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in design review and iterations for next generation hardware integration
- Use Catia and 3DExperience to help with fixture and tooling design
- Ability to assist in prototype builds when needed using simple hand tools
- Knowledge for HW component specification and design integration requirements
- Ability to prototype solutions quickly and efficiently
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills - preferred
- Fabrication and 3D printing experience - preferred
Qualifications:
- In process of obtaining Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Familiarity with mechanical and electrical systems in automotive or robotics applications
- Familiarity with a broad range of manufacturing processes including rapid prototyping
Nice To Haves
- Experience with medium/heavy trucks
- Familiarity with Autonomous vehicle sensors (Radar / Camera / Lidar) and their integration
- Comfortable with Windows and Linux environments
- Fabrication experience
