Position Summary:
The CPQ Technical Admin will work within the Information Technology & Systems department reporting to the CPQ Technical Team Lead. This position will be responsible for attaining business and technical requirements and architecting a comprehensive solution using industry best practices. In this role you will work as a key part of a dynamic team focused on designing, customizing and implementing Oracle CPQ cloud technologies. In addition to implementation, this position involves requirements gathering and creating strategic vision for continued growth. Must have good oral and written communication skills, work in a team environment, enjoy solving complex problems and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Roles & Responsibilities: Architect/Design, Development and implementation of Oracle CPQ Cloud Solutions (Application)
- Work with the business to understand and document their existing processes as well as document their future, improved and standardized processes
- Provide guidance and best practices around CPQ solutions including product configuration, administration of price book, proposal development, and related elements.
- Develop visually rich and professional conceptual design documents and detailed specification documents targeted to varying audiences of business and technical aptitude
- Manage business communications, conflicts, and negotiations related to overall solutions design
- Conduct solutions presentations and obtaining internal customer acceptance to solution design
- Design, configure, and develop custom code/objects using the CPQ developer toolkit and related to CPQ (BigMachine) ecosystem.
- Bulk Data Upload/Migration Strategy from Legacy System to Oracle BigMachines CPQ Cloud using Oracle CPQ Cloud APIs
- Validate solutions after build and provide solution walkthrough with end-users
- Test functional designs for business solution components and prototypes
- Plan and execute data conversion activities (e.g., test data)
- Maintain/enhance technology expertise, keeping current with evolving systems analysis, programming and database technologies
- Maintenance of Product Configuration & Rules, Commerce Process, Document Designer and proprietary and confidential product/pricing functionality of Oracle BigMachines CPQ Cloud
- Provide support to internal and external users of CPQ
Relevant Experience:
- Oracle CPQ Yellow Belt/Blue Belt/Implementation Professional certification
- Minimum 5 Years of experience in an Oracle CPQ Cloud Administrator, Architect, Developer, and/or Maintenance role
- Experience in successful software project implementations related to SaaS in Quote to Cash Business scenarios
- Extensive experience as technical architect in large scale CPQ implementation
Technical/Functional Skills:
- In-depth knowledge in Product Configuration & Rules, complex Configurator setups, BOM and System Configuration, Commerce Process, Complex workflow approval, Document Designer and Pricing functionality of Oracle CPQ Cloud
- Solid understanding of Oracle CPQ data model (including a thorough understanding of object relationships, BML/BMQL, CSS, SOQL, and SOSL), architecture, constraints, governor limits and change management.
- Skilled in web programming (java, html, CSS, XSL, etc.) for CPQ UI Customization
- Solid understanding of SaaS development processes, methodologies, and best practices
- Awareness of Oracle BigMachines CPQ Cloud Integration using pre-built connectors and point to point integration with CRM and ERP applications
- Exposure with CPQ Developer Toolkit and CI/CD tools (GitHub, Bitbucket, Azure Devops).
- Exposure in Incident Management Tools (BMC Helix , ServiceNow)
- Able to work closely with Business leaders, process owners and SMEs to elicit CPQ business requirements / business processes and convert into technical specifications
- Team player with excellent verbal & written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ability to work with multiple projects and work streams at one time
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple business leaders to complete projects quickly
Good to Have Skills:
- Experience with sizing engines (Spaix, Intelliquip, custom, etc.) preferably in a pump manufacturing
- Experience in customized Oracle BigMachines CPQ Cloud integration with CRM, ERP, and other third-party cloud applications
- Hands-on experience working on Oracle OCI, OCC and/or Dynamics 365 CRM
- Working knowledge of Matlab, Fortran and C++ programming languages.
- Experience with middleware and web service and understanding of UI/UX and Mobile development
- Experience with Mobile Configuration Layout and experience in deploying Oracle CPQ Cloud on Mobile platforms is a plus
- Good knowledge / experience of Agile Project Methodology
- Ability to work with English/French speaking user base
