In this role, you will play a critical role in the design, build out, and maintenance of our infrastructure and deployment pipelines, with a strong focus on low-latency Kubernetes deployments and cloud-premise deployment patterns. You will set the path for other engineers, champion best practices, and play a key role in the future of critical parts of Service Cloud's infrastructure.Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role, with a proven track record of deploying and operating high-throughput, globally scaled systems.
- Significant expertise in Kubernetes, including some advanced concepts like service meshes, network policies, and operator development.
- Significant experience with at least one cloud platform (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and their respective services.
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Spinnaker, ArgoCD) and their integration with infrastructure provisioning systems.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Go) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Working understanding of networking concepts, including global networking, load balancing, and security.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk) and building out sophisticated alerting systems.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Good communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- A strong passion for automation, continuous improvement, and pushing the boundaries of what's possible in infrastructure engineering.
- Experience with service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio, Linkerd).
- Experience deploying native code and JVM based software at large scale in cloud environments.
- Contributions to open-source projects related to Kubernetes, DevOps, or cloud technologies.
- Experience with chaos engineering and failure testing methodologies.
