Position Overview 

Autodesk's Digital Employee Experience team is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team that delivers products that enrich the employee experience at Autodesk. Our product engineering culture will empower you to work collaboratively on projects at the core of the company using the latest technology industry trends. 

You'll work with existing full-stack development teams on their journey towards becoming a world-class, transformational engineering team. This role is a hybrid position with a team located in Novi, Michigan, reporting to the Manager of Engineering. 

Responsibilities 

  • Develop and implement solutions that enhance the end-user experience 

  • Participate in agile-based development practices to achieve high velocity and continuous delivery 

  • Focus on hands-on development and delivery of applications with a strong emphasis on cloud-based and AI-powered solutions 

  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, scalable, secure, and highly available software solutions 

  • Actively participate in quality assurance efforts to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions  

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience 

  • 1 - 2 years of experience as a full-stack engineer developing and testing both front-end and back-end applications 

  • Experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs using Microservices architecture 

  • Proficiency with web technology stacks (React, Next, Core Web Vitals) 

  • Hands-on experience with cloud services such as AWS (SQS, S3, DynamoDB, IAM, Lambda) or similar cloud providers 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience with AI technologies, including RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and GenAI (Generative AI)

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $85,000 and $137,500. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
