About the Role

We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Product Design part-time individual to join our Retail POS team this summer. This part-time role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced product designers, contribute to real product initiatives, and gain exposure to user-centered design processes in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What You'll Do

• Assist in wireframing, prototyping, and visual design for upcoming retail software features

• Participate in user research and help analyze feedback to inform design decisions

• Support documentation and organization of design system updates

• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and research teams

• Attend team standups and design critiques to present your work and gather feedback

What We're Looking For

• Interest in product design, UX/UI, human-centered design, or related fields

• Basic knowledge of design tools such as Figma or Sketch

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Curiosity and willingness to learn from feedback and critique

• Ability to manage time and meet deadlines in a part-time capacity

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma (or equivalent)

• Currently pursuing or recently completed coursework in design, business, computer science, or a related discipline preferred

• Must be available for part-time work (~20 hours/week) throughout the summer period

We collectively believe pretty is not enough and support the broader team effort to ship products that are solid from architecture to interface. This role will work in close collaboration with product management, development, corporate product design, sales, and clients. Performance will be measured by delivering assigned tasks against iterative deadlines and overall team contribution to revenue.
