Hybrid Applications Engineer bei Flowserve

Job Summary:

We are looking for a technically and commercially experienced Application Engineer. In this function you will develop solutions for customers and partners for Compressor Seal Products.

This role is responsible for providing techno-commercial quotes for Dry Gas seals by coordinating with multiple internal and external stakeholders, working in tandem with regional Com Ops team, Sales & Engineering team.

You will act as a product specialist - Compressor Seal Specialist in a team and work closely with the sales, engineering, product development, and other specialist departments in the company.


Responsibilities & Requirements:

• To review project specifications, pump data sheets, vendor documents, Inspection and testing requirements etc. and timely submission of techno-commercial offer for turbo machinery seals at market level pricing in response to RFQ's
• Participate in technical bid evaluation (TBE) meetings with EPC/OEM’s and provide appropriate technical and commercial solutions
• Liaison with Regional Operations, Engineering and Supply Chain as needed to ensure technical compliance of quotes
• Reviewing purchase order and ensure compliance and transfer project files to order fulfilment, organize order calls with respective stakeholders
• Evaluation of requests, generation of solution proposals
• Cost calculation, if necessary in cooperation with the relevant departments
• Technical and commercial preparation of offers
• Order acceptance, review, and preparation (Complete Order)
• Good knowledge on commercial terms, delivery, warranty terms
• And any other duties as assigned

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience as an Applications Engineer or similar role such as inside Sales Representative Engineer.
• Good communication skills
• Strong technician acumen and analytical thinking.
• Good knowledge of mechanical seals / auxiliary products / compressors / sealing systems / gas seals / panels are added advantages
• SAP knowledge in dealing with common MS Office applications is added advantage
• Knowledge of compressor market & solutions
• Possess 4 - 5 years related working experiences
• Diploma / Degree preferably in Mechanical / Chemical / Instrumentation engineering (or relevant).
