This Sr. Associate, Reimbursement role requires a dynamic and detail-oriented leader to manage and support our reimbursement services team. To provide efficient patient support and reimbursement navigation, this role focuses on ensuring strong relationships with payors, optimizing reimbursement processes and acting as a resource for both team and clients to address complex reimbursement challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
Payor Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with private and public payors.
- Collaborate with peers to establish pathways for escalating challenges and resolving reimbursement barriers.
- Propose and align mutually agreed upon solutions with payors to optimize reimbursement outcomes.
Operational Oversight
- Monitor special authorization forms and their usage of payers to identify trends or opportunities for improvement.
- Provide guidance and expertise to the team on complex reimbursement cases and challenges.
- Promote best practices across the reimbursement team to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Training and Support
- Prepare and collaborate with training partners to update and create reimbursement training and resources for staff to address ad hoc topics or project launches.
- Collaborate with commercialization and reimbursement specialists to ensure processes are optimized and team members are up to date.
Process Improvement and Reporting
- Take lead in ensuring updates on all reimbursement related necessities up to but not limited to drug plans, SA templates and payer related reimbursement tools are implemented effectively.
- Analyze reimbursement data and provide proactive monitoring to identify trends and recommend actionable improvements.
- Participate in reimbursement monitoring meetings with clients to provide insight and updates on team progress.
Reports and Analytics
- Reviews KPI, reimbursement, and commercialization specific reports to analyze challenges and bring forward feedback to management for retraining.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Act as the primary liaison between the team, payors, and other stakeholders to maintain alignment on goals and objectives.
- Present reimbursement topics and updates during quarterly business reviews and other client meetings as required.
Management
- Responsible to coordinate and liaison with Sr. Associate Trainer and Nurse Case Trainer to update training materials and resources.
- Update Supervisors on: opportunities, challenges, feedback from stakeholders to improve overall operational efficiencies.
Preferred skills
- Familiarity with reimbursement-related platforms and CRM tools.
- Experience working with pharmaceutical clients and commercialization teams.
- Knowledge of payor guidelines and healthcare regulations.
- Strong knowledge of reimbursement processes including insurance navigation, private prior authorizations, and appeals.
- Leadership experience with a proven ability to mentor and manage a team effectively.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with payers, clients, and team members.
