Job Profile Summary:
The Financial Risk Analyst supports in providing awareness for the organization's financial risk management program framework and associated program policies. Under direct supervision, this job assists with implementing and embedding the operational risk framework and processes for defining, assessing, measuring, monitoring, and reporting operational risks for the organization.
Job Description:
This position requires the candidate to work with financial data systems, onsite team to develop ETL interfaces to different data providers and integrate data into data warehouse. The position also requires the candidate to work on modules to design and develop functional business enhancements in Oracle database. Python programming skills is preferred. The candidate will be expected to provide higher level of support when required.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Design and develop cutting edge solutions with the business team.
- Create and write complex SQL queries, Procedures, Functions, Packages, SQLLDR scripts for to export, transform and load data into data warehouse.
- Optimize few complex SQL queries, PL/SQL code as required.
- Create data models and build them in Risk database.
- Basic Python knowledge and code debug in case of any issue
- Work with Corporate IT team to build and manage Autosys jobs.
- Work in agile mode along with offshore team members.
- Develop and maintain code base in Git.
- Update and manage Jira tasks.
- Potential to learn business concepts and grow into a functional role.
Required Skills:
- Oracle PL-SQL / SQL database.
- Python Programming.
- OOPS concepts
- Ability to work on tools like Git, Jira, Autosys, Confluence.
- Experience in agile methodology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good understanding of SDLC.
Other responsibilities:
- Works with business areas to perform “deep dive” reviews as required assessing operational risks in a particular area and being capable of presenting back on risks and proposed mitigation actions.
- Assists in providing an independent view of the level and instances of operational risks in business and support areas that are in focus.
- Seeks guidance from senior operational risk management team members regarding challenges that require more advanced knowledge and experience.
- Builds relationships with the key stakeholders in business and support areas to actively promote a culture that is sensitive to identifying, measuring, mitigating, and monitoring operational risks.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Information Technology or related fields.
Work Experience:
- 4-6 years of overall experience in IT industry.
- 3+ years’ experience in Oracle SQL database.
- 2+ years’ experience in Python Programming.
Physical Requirements:
