Overview

Seoul based Architectural Project Manager to lead projects from conception thru completion.   Projects will range from large scale Flagship locations to smaller footprint shop in shop locations.   Candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating and managing the project, coordinating/collaborating with ALO Global Store Development and managing the local teams to ensure the success of the project.  The candidate should be experienced, dynamic and fluent in English.  

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the store design, development and administration process on 4-6 projects in various stages of development.
  • Assist the team in building a network of consultants, vendors and contractors in region.
  • Manage design deliverables and coordinate with ALO Global on design, design sign off and internal stakeholder reviews and approvals.
  • Coordinate with LL/Department Store Teams to obtain LODs, design criteria, documentation, vendor requirements/recommendations, etc. 
  • Assist with real estate queries and pre-lease/lease negotiations related to design and construction.
  • Manage a comprehensive project schedule (inclusive of pre-design, design, agency approvals and construction).
  • Manage a comprehensive project budget.
  • Manage consultants on the execution of design development and construction documents, building codes, landlord and project specific requirements.
  • Communicate ALO Global brand guidelines and directives and ensure all aspects of the project meet such standards/guidelines.
  • Assist the team in ensuring the timely execution of assigned projects. 
  • Review submittals and shop drawings for design conformance.
  • Attend meetings and communications required to move the project forward. 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor or Masters's Degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Design or related field. 
  • Experience designing/building store shop in shops
  • Fluent in English
  • 8-10 min. years of Project Management experience, ideally in the retail field
  • Proficiency in Autocad, Sketchup and Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Excel and Project
  • Proficiency in scheduling software (Microsoft Project, or sim)
  • Strong communication (both verbal and written)
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Strong production, technical and research skills
  • Ability to prioritize in order to meet deadlines 
  • Strong knowledge of construction/experience working with contractors and sub-trades
  • Passionate, self-starting, intelligent, dedicated, efficient
  • Enjoys both taking responsibility and team collaboration
  • Passion for both the big picture design ideas and the details
  • Knowledgeable of retail and all relevant and building codes
