The transportation coordinator is a cross functional role that coordinates the activity of the local supply chain both physical and systemic components and is key in coordinating external inbound, and outbound freight activities (including the maintaining of transportation documents – (receipt POs, COAs, BOLs) and is responsible for the safe and effective scheduling, monitoring, and fulfilling 3rd party freight to meet timely deliveries for external and internal customers. The transportation coordinator effectively coordinates stock assignment for stock transfer orders (STO), to maximize service levels. In addition to coordinating the effectiveness of all inbound deliveries, inspecting the items for defects and inconsistencies via 100% external inspection to verify all inbound deliveries meet Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA) standards, including temperature controlled and dry goods.
Primary Responsibilities
Strategically builds stock transfer order (STO) loads, by product availability, to ship to internal plant locations (5005, 5030, 5031, 5032, 5200)
Effectively schedules STOs, with NFI to ensure deliveries are meeting delivery dates
Responsible for coordinating all external, outbound activities with shipping team and coordinating all customer compliance requirements, such as special labeling, packaging, or stacking with shipping team
Updates and maintains inbound/outbound, local schedule via Microsoft shared calendar
Responsible for one point of communication between warehouse location and all other cross functional stakeholders (customer service, procurement, sales operations management and external carriers, including NFI
Enforces quality, food defense standards of safety & health, hygiene, and security in compliance with FISMA standards for all inbound and outbound carriers
Coordinates all inbound receipts and schedules these with the receiving team
Receives all inbound stocks into SAP and generates put away labels for receiving team
Accurately transmits and maintains all transportation documentation, inbound receipts POs, COAs, BOLs
Manages the driver check in and out process
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree preferred in a relevant discipline: Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or other related fields
5-7 years of experience of distribution/transportation and warehouse experience
Ideally 2 years of leadership experience
Strong knowledge of SAP ERP system
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Agile in coordinating transportation processes
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Effective multitasker, both independently and in teams
Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
Data Entry and date processing skills
Ability to accurately analyze information (freight and inventory)
Detail and deadline oriented

Compensation for this role is hourly and will be based on your experience, skills, and location, with a typical range between $24.42-$33.58/HR.
