Position Summary:
This position will be responsible for moving racks/carts, scaling, washing product, keeping lines supplies with stick cards and racks, and other items needed to keep the lines running.
Responsibilities:
Pull buckets and empty into hopper.
Move full racks of sausage up to 500 pounds, scale, and enter data into computer.
Empty inedible pans and inedible barrels.
Assemble and disassemble all stuffers and other related machines (linkers setup and removal).
Clean out metal detectors of fat.
Properly prepare casings and use correct casings for products running.
Keep accurate daily preparation numbers on data sheets.
Take daily inventory.
Test all casings used by the Batch Kitchen within 24 hours of delivery.
Make all rack tags.
Perform general housekeeping duties in the department.
Use a tow motor, as needed.
Maintain general manufacturing practices.
Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements.
Perform all positions of job rotation as needed.
Perform any other work as assigned by management.
Requirements:
Ability and willingness to perform basic math functions (i.e.: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
Ability and willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
Ability and willingness to use both hands to work.
Ability and willingness to obtain a tow motor certification.
Ability and willingness to complete all paperwork and SAP computer functions.
Physical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Ability and willingness to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level 20 pounds or greater frequently.
Ability and willingness to lift/lower/carry 20 pounds or greater with back and legs.
Ability and willingness to stand/walk/climb/bend for up to 10 hours.
Ability and willingness to flex/grip with wrist/hands frequently.
Ability and willingness to work in wet conditions and cold temperatures at 35 degrees.
Ability and willingness to distinguish between shades and/or colors.
Preferred Skills:
Forklift experience preferred
Experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
RF Scanner experience preferred
Requirements:
3 months of work history with the same employer
