Our SMB (Small & Medium Business) team plays a critical role in ensuring our restaurant partners thrive on our platform.

We’re looking for a Commercial Intern to join our SMB Account Management team. Our Account Management team owns and manages the relationships with our partners on the platform. As Deliveroo continues to scale, we become a major revenue channel for restaurants, grocery stores, bakeries and convenient stores. Aside from providing best-in-class support, we use data-driven insight and industry knowledge to drive our partner’s growth. The AMs are a passionate, dynamic group of team players that work well together and cross functionally with other departments...and of course, they’re fun, personable, and great at building relationships!

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants hands-on experience in account management, partner engagement, and marketing communications within a high-growth tech company.

What you’ll be doing

Engage & Support Restaurant Partners:

  • Assist the SMB team in engaging restaurant partners to help them succeed on Deliveroo.
  • Handle inbound partner enquiries, providing guidance on account-related matters and platform best practices.
  • Use data-driven insights to identify opportunities for partners to grow and understand their customer base better.
  • Educate partners on Deliveroo’s tools and features to help them maximize their sales potential.

Execute Partner Communications & Marketing Initiatives:

  • Develop and send out EDMs (Email Direct Marketing) and WhatsApp campaigns to drive engagement at scale.
  • Create compelling messages to encourage partners to join promotional campaigns, participate in special initiatives, and optimize their performance on the platform.
  • Work with internal teams to refine communication strategies based on partner feedback and engagement metrics.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Proactive and adaptable, with a strong sense of ownership and attention to detail.
  • A strong communicator—comfortable crafting clear and engaging messages for different audiences
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experienced with email marketing or social media engagement (preferred but not required).
  • Proficient in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and familiar with tools like Canva (a plus!)

Internship Duration: 4-6 months
