As we expand our digital capabilities, we are looking for a passionate and experienced Web Architect to join our dynamic team.

Role Overview:

The Web Architect will be responsible for developing and overseeing the technical architecture of web applications. This role requires strong leadership skills and technical expertise to design scalable, secure, and high-performance web systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and UX/UI designers, to create robust solutions that align with business goals and user needs.

The position can be hybrid if based in Cairo or fully remote for international contractors.

About the contract:

• The role is a long-term contract position through Xenon7, which serves as an approved vendor for various clients.
• Payments are made in gross amounts in USD on a monthly basis.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the overall architecture of web applications, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Collaborate with product and development teams to define technical requirements and architecture standards.
• Review and approve designs and code produced by developers to ensure quality and adherence to architecture standards.
• Stay abreast of technological advancements and assess their relevance to business needs.
• Lead efforts in troubleshooting architectural issues and implementing best practices for solution design.
• Document design decisions, technical specifications, and architectural guidelines.
• Provide mentorship to developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in web application development, with at least 3 years in an architectural role.
• Strong proficiency in front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and popular frameworks (e.g., Angular, React).
• Proven experience with back-end technologies (e.g., Node.js, .NET, Java) and databases (SQL/NoSQL).
• In-depth knowledge of software architecture patterns and principles, including microservices, serverless, and event-driven architectures.
• Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud services (AWS, Azure, etc.).
• Experience implementing web security best practices and ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Fluency in English and/or Arabic.
