Salary Range: $70000.0 - $90000.0 Per Year

Major Duties:

  • As a specialist at the national level, provide marketing functional services to designated strategic business units. Develops, implements and evaluates a comprehensive marketing program in support of MWR programs services facilities and activities. Analyzes programs and facilities, providing On-site review of merchandising, displays, customer service and finances. Makes recommendations for program improvements. Advises Headquarters, regional and installation staff on all matters pertaining to marketing. Determines what products and services should be offered and recommends promotional strategies. Evaluates strengths and weaknesses of programs. Determines optimum marketing mix to achieve objectives. Identifies publicity and advertising needs. Designs promotional campaigns. Evaluates advertising and publicity efforts. Assists in developing major special events, promotions and sponsorship proposals. Develops appropriated and nonappropriated fund budgetary requirements for marketing coordination.

Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE CLEARLY VERIFIABLE IN YOUR RESUME. GOVERNMENT POSITIONS MUST INCLUDE PAY PLAN, SERIES, GRADE, TO AND FROM DATES, AND GOVERNMENT AGENCY/DEPARTMENT. Must include at least one year of experience performing duties at a level which equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform successfully in the position. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrated related work experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Work experience must have be equivalent in complexity, difficulty and responsibility to the next lower pay band level. Ability to develop and make written and oral presentations of technical materials to nontechnical personnel. General knowledge of the military environment preferred. OR Completion of the requirements for a bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising or closely related field. All Qualified applicants will be rated against the highly qualifying criteria by a rating panel for evaluation of the quality and extent of your total accomplishments, experience and education. HIGHLY QUALIFYING CRITERIA: Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising or closely related field (e.g. communications, digital media, public relations, business management, etc.) Demonstrated work experience identifying and implementing marketing/social media strategies for marketing campaigns Possess an understanding of Marketing functions/principles and applicable governing laws, policies, regulations Experience with all the following related to marketing: communication, planning, digital media, social media and promotional strategy Possess knowledge of and experience with utilizing research to determine what products, programs and services should be offered Possess experience working with program managers in collecting marketing intelligence, identifying & analyzing customer needs and market trends Experience with navigating and using a variety of modern tech products and platforms, and adapting to new advancements in technology Knowledge of up-to-date inbound marketing tactics and strategy
