We value flexibility, offering a hybrid remote work model and adaptable working hours.The OpportunityWe are looking for a talented engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our core acceleration technology. This role involves enhancing our core multi-dimensional indexing implementation for Data Lakehouses. You’ll collaborate closely with the team to introduce groundbreaking features that are unique in the market.As a core member of our tech team, you will:
- Develop and enhance our indexing technology using Java, Scala, and Rust.
- Build support for open table formats such as Iceberg.
- Maintain and improve product quality by resolving defects and creating robust test cases and frameworks.
- Explore other areas of interest—in a startup, there’s always more to do and learn.
- Experience: A minimum of three years in professional software development.
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
- Familiarity with database internals.
- Experience with Data Lakehouse formats (e.g., Delta Lake, Apache Hudi, Apache Iceberg) is a plus.
- Knowledge of storage I/O is a bonus.
- Proficiency in Java, Scala, and Rust, with the adaptability to work in other languages as needed.
- Experience with query engines like Apache Spark, Trino, or emerging ones like DataFusion.
- Soft Skills:
- Proficiency in English (our working language).
- Organized, autonomous, and proactive approach to work.
- Willingness to learn new skills and share knowledge.
